I am so excited!!

I just started scrapping a year ago plus one month. I have made it my goal this past month and a half to submit submit submit. I haved been published and will be published in upcoming issues of a few ezine magazines. However, I wanted to so badly be published in a paper magazine. I just got an email today from Paper Trends. They wanted something of mine!!! Me!! I just can't believe it. LOL, now I'm worried that they are going to get and say "what were we thinking!" I am still in unbelief!!

Oh yeah, we had a "warm" Easter!!

Well, for Massachusetts that is!! This southern gal can't take much of this!! Thank goodness it was around 45 degrees and sunny by the time we took Boogie out to hunt eggs. Now, let me tell ya, the Easter Bunny got up early to hide those eggs. It was about 30 degrees at that time, and she was freezing her fuzzy tail off!!! Well, we are off this weekend for a family wedding - the third in seven months - all of them in Louisiana I might add, and not so kind on the budget. You just know momma needs a new dress every time we go down!! Oh, and then there's the "shopping" I have to do because "you know" the shopping is gooood in the south!

Yesterday, I got these awesome new papers in from Webster's Pages. Forgive me if that is incorrect! These papers are so so pretty! I just had to do a lo with it. LOL, sorry my little guy, you are in pinks again!

HAPPY EASTER!!

I can't believe it is Easter already. Has Easter always been in March? I seems so strange that it is the weekend after St. Patrick's Day. I always thought there was more time between the two holidays. On this holiday I wish I was back down south. It is so much more fun hiding and finding Easter eggs when it is warm outside. There is something "wrong" about wearing a coat while hunting for Easter eggs!

Anyway, here is a little project that Hayden I did yesterday. He was so excited because he got to do all the gluing. It is such a simple thing, but he is having fun playing puppet theater. This bunny is mine. Hayden's has yellow ears and three blue arms and a long white tail. :)

Spring is coming - I swear I can feel it!!

Sad thing is here in Massachusetts that may not be until May!! We will just have little "teases" up until then. That will be just enough to get me and my cat all antsy!! I always tend to go through a little spring cleaning (one of the few times I feel this way) when it gets warmer. I think the opening of the windows does it to me. Again, that wont happen for a couple of months! If I were back in Dallas, I'd be planting my flowers by now! LOL, I can even tell my husband is ready for Spring. He's been getting Sally out of the garage and taking her to work with him. (Sally is our convertible Mustang just in case, some of you readers had your mind flying all over the place with that one.) All I can say it needs to come soon!! I think I've put on about 10 lbs practicing my hybernating bear routine for the winter! Oh, today will be good! It is going to be sunny all day, and it will be in the 40's. Hee,hee Spring..... Where are you????

Turkey Crossing

Ok, so I am taking Hayden to daycare this morning, and we have to stop to let about 15 (no joke) turkeys cross the road. I have never even seen a live turkey until this year let alone 15 of them!! It was really funny. Believe or not they are not as stupid as you might think. One guy was stopped coming the other direction. Half of them had already passed, but the others saw me coming and waited until I stopped to continue. I'd say that was pretty smart. Hayden then asked me where the turkey crossing sign was. I had to tell him that they don't have turkey crossing signs. It didn't make any sense to him why they have duck crossing but not turkey crossings. Obviously turkeys cross the street!

My Dabble into the card world again

Cleaning Day

So Brett comes home today, and that means I need to get this house in order! Ok, so I am a little easier on Hayden about his toys. I let him take out several at a time, and I don't always make him pick them up at night. I know I should be teaching him to pick up. It is something I need to work on with him. It is just sometimes easier not dealing with the crying and hassle. Come on parents, you got to "know" what I am talking about here. Anyway, it is last minute crunch to clean. He,hee now that I think about it. Not much has changed since school! I used to wait to the last minute to do my papers and study for tests!!

Here is my latest. It is when we took Hayden to the Polar Express in New Hampshire. It was so cold that weekend, but we had fun. Here we are during our day excursion of the area.

The imagination of a child.

Ok, so this morning I wake up and the first thing my little boy wants to be is a kitten. He is meowing (as kittens do), but here is the funny part. He demanded I put a bowl of milk down for him - which I did, of course. He then preceeded to lap it up - of course, he did ask how kittens drink out of bowl first. Thank goodness this just didn't come by instinct. It is "me" I believe must have been a cat in another life. I unfortunately have so many of their traits - except for the litter box, that is! I love sleeping, getting petted, eating.... you see where this is going. Anyway, back to Hayden - I just couldn't help but laugh at his latest bit of imaginative fun. I haven't figured out if he is going to be some great playwright or an engineer. He has an extreme love of seeing how things work and are put together. Mind you all, he did just turn four. I don't want you thinking I have this thirteen year old lapping milk out of bowl!!

Anyway, the day has just begun, and guess what - yep, it "snowed" again last night. Now I know a lot of you love snow. Don't get me wrong - I love the look of snow. It is very pretty, especially when the sun is shining. I just don't like the mess that comes with it!! Oh, and it also means that warmer weather isn't anywhere near to coming. I am not a cold weather person. You see, I am a born and bred Texas girl. Living in Massachusetts is great, but I do not like how loooonnnngggg the winter is here! Ok, yeah, I know enough complaining. I just want to be warm!! I also need sunshine! Hmmm, I don't know how this ended up being a complaining post. I didn't mean for it to be that way. I really just wanted to tell you about my strange child. :)
