Brett played golf, so I took that opportunity to play myself!! I did me a little scrappin! Creative_Scrappers was having a one hour sketch contest, so I thought what the heck! I also tried a technique that my friend Larissa at A Million Memories uses all the time - paper rolling. I love the look, and I think I'll be using it more often! Here is an oldie pic of my baby!

Our sinuses have gone bezerk down here. There is even a ring of yellow pollen around our pool. I guess it is going to take awhile to get used to everything. Man, am I dreading the humidity and heat the Houston summer is going to bring!
Well, so far I have survived Hayden being home for spring break. Today is day 3! We're doing pretty good. Which reminds me of how funny he is .... right now he will NOT kiss me. I have a fever blister on my mouth. Obviously this grosses him out! The other day (pre fever blister he was so cute). It is funny how we program our kids without knowing it. He asked for ketchup, and when I brought it to him, I said it's going to cost you. (now, he "just" turned five) He scrugged his shoulders and smiled. Okay? A hug or a kiss? I had to laugh. Had I really "done" this that many times before for him to respond so automatically? I guess so. I loved it though. Our little guy definitely knows he's loved. Either that or the cost of ketchup is steep!!
Well, on to my next assignment. I am cutting out the objects he prints off of the computer. I am thrilled he knows how to play the games - but seriously, how many pigs must I cut out until enough is enough!?!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the addition of our six new design team members! We first want to express our overwhelming thanks to the many applicants. We had such an enjoyable time sorting through all of the beautiful entries however it made making the final selections very difficult. Even more exciting (and difficult!) was reading about each of you personally and seeing you in action online and on your blogs. Again, many thanks to all of the wonderful applicants - you are all very talented women!
Join us in congratulating the six newest Graphic 45 Design Team Members!

My poor little guy. He wants to play in the water so bad. He's been taking swimming lessons, and he's a real little fish now. However, one day here its 80 degrees and the next it is 50! Needless to say the water is a wee bit cold still. He is having fun playing with his bucket in the water. I was able to get some really cute pics with my new Canon Rebel. They are still not pro pics, but I guess lessons are coming for me too. Oh, but my hubby has other lessons planned for me! He got me a driver for my birthday. I haven't golfed since before Hayden was born! I was only a beginner then. I think I'm going to be very very rusty! Anyway, I did a lo with one of those adorable pics of my sweet little boy. I hope you like it!

To the left is my take on the challenge. Below is the actual ad we used for inspiration. Enjoy!
We are so excited to announce something different for Dreamgirls, but first we must to say thank you to Erin for her service as a Diva. We realize that we all have lives outside of scrapping and sometimes things get hectic and causes us to take a step back. We will miss Erin!
We are pleased to announce the addition of a card design to each of our challenges!! We want to show the versatility of our challenges by giving our participants a different type of inspiration. Our newest member will create a card using the given prompts! Please join us in welcoming Eva to Dreamgirls. Click on Eva's photo to take a peek at her Bio and her blog.
Oh this week we have an awesome ad challenge, as you all know when using an ad it's left to your interpretation. You can use the design, the colors, or just one aspect of the ad really it's totally up to you. Of course we still have our twists.
Twists: 1.We would love to see a safety pin somewhere on your layout
2. Use some thing out of the scrap aisle totally up to you (ex. masking tape, office stamp, elastic etc.)
