And.....I'm Off!!

If you follow my blog, you will not see me this week!  I am heading of to Chicago for CHA!  If you are going to be there, be sure to come visit me at the Nikki Sivils booth.  I'll be the one harassing all the customers at the make and take booth!

My husband, Brett will actually be taking full care of our son this week.  It will be a first for him!  Usually he either takes him to Louisiana so his sisters and mom can help.  If he doesn't do that, someone from my family or his family come here.  Not this time!  Do you think he will survive - better yet do you think Hayden will survive?  Actually, I am going to have everything all organized for him.  As much as I would love for him to see what it's like to fully care for a six year old, I think I better make it easier for him.  I mean, I might want to go somewhere again, and it is better for me in the long run, right?

Anywho,  I will have schedule post for Friday, so be sure to check back then!!

Check Out my "My Little Shoebox" Summer CHA Reveal

I received a "Simple Life" to play with for CHA.  I can't begin to tell you how cute this paper is!!!  My sister-in-law has tons of tractor photos because my nephew loves John Deere.  How appropriate that My Little Shoebox would come out with papers like this for CHA.  I wanted to give a little peek at one of my layouts I have done for CHA using this adorable collection.  You can see more sneak peeks all this week over at the My Little Shoebox blog and more peeks at what the other design team member have done with their papers.  Anyway, here is a little tease just to get you excited about "Simple Life".

Scrap Yourself Challenge Number 11 "What's Your Nickname?"

Ever since I was a little girl, my nickname has been "Tootie".  As I got older, family started calling me "Stu, Stuey and Stusan".  When my best friend had babies, they have always called my "Sassy".  Then I had foot surgery and my brother-in-law started calling me "Ball and Claw".  I think my that foot cast reminded him of the ball and claw feet on tables, lol.  Brett has always called me "Baybee" (from a special drawing he made for me), but after we had Hayden, Brett quickly switched to calling me "Mama".

They ya go, I answer to all of them.  I might even answer to "Susan" on occasion.  :)   I hope you can swing on over to the Scrap Yourself Challenge Blog and play along with us.  I'd be curious to know what you go by! Here is my take on the challenge:

What Some TaDa Studio Sneak Peeks?

Well here they are, and they are absolutely fabulous!!  Each one is unique - happy - fun - beautiful.  What more could you ask for?!

Come Join Us for Another Really Reasonable Blog Hop!!

I hope you have been having fun hopping from blog to blog in our Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop!  You should have just arrived here from Amber Goble's Blog.  Your next stop will be Kerri Michaud's Blog.  No doubt you will find awesome inspiration from their awesome cards!

On my layout below I mixed two totally different textures of ribbons - jute and organza.  You wouldn't think that the two would go together, but I think they look great together!  You can check them out here at the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

Again we've had family here this week - eleven this time!

So it's not the crazy 21 people from last weekend, but we still had to pull out the air mattresses, lol.  This was the bunch from Brett's family that didn't make it last week.  We had lot of fun, and I am happy to say after a rainy week the weather held out "again" for the weekend!  Yay, because both times I was worried we wouldn't be able to get in to the pool.

Nothing scrappy to share today, sorry.  I do have more puppy pics to share with you though.  I think these are just precious.  We have also picked out our little girl.  She will stay with the breeder until I get back from CHA.  We had a Shitzu puppy at our house this weekend.  OMGosh, it's like a little mop and is absolutely adorable.  Makes me want ours even more.  Anywho, here's some more pics of the puppies.

Aren't they so cute all lined up like that?  I love their little faces too.  I wish they'd stay this color, but they get more blond as they age.  However, that won't stop me from lovin the little rascal!

Thanks for stoppin by!!

We are next in line to go pick out our baby.  They are just about at the six week mark.  However, we have asked for them to keep her until eight weeks.  We go next Tuesday to choose which little girl we want.  Anyway, here is photo of one of the puppies to show just how big they are getting.

By the way, for those of my friends living in the USA, hope you have a safe and happy 4th of July!!

Another Friday with Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Wow, I can't believe it is almost the 4th of July!  We are going to have a house load for the weekend!  We went out and purchased 4 air mattresses, and even so, the kids are going to have to sleep on the floor.  Oh well, despite all that, we are going to have so much fun!

The layout I've done is of my nephew Karson.  He is three and is turning into quite a little character. I love scrapping him.  I am always for sure to get some great photos.  For the layout I used a mix of American Crafts paper and one of my favorite ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Yes, I know, you've seen me use it many times before.  Hey, what can I say, I love dotted ribbon, and that golden yellow just makes me happy!

Be sure to drop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon store and check out all their amazingly fabulous ribbons!  Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
