TaDa Creative Studio "The Big Top" and "Bountiful Blooms"

Oooh, I love them both.  One is bright and fun, while the other is rich and elegant.  This first layout and card is using "The big Top".  This fun laser cut "Ferris Fun" is also part of the collection.

Now a layout and close up using the "Bountiful Bloom" collection along with a laser cut called "Botanical Burst" in "brocade".

A Fond Farewell for Me

Today is my last blog post for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I didn't go out again for the team.  I think the ribbon ideas have above run dry in the inspiration department.  I look forward to seeing what some of the new design team girls come up with.  However, they will not see the last of me.  I still plan on spending my money over there.  Bonnie is continually getting great ribbons... in her store.  Every time I look there is something new! Here is my farewell layout using what I love best - dots and gingham!

Here is a close up for you.

My Blog Winners And A Little Etsy Cruising!

Well, because it's my prerogative I decided to pick "two" winners. One was done the old fashioned way and one by I asked my son to pick any number between 1 and 33.  He said 22!  That makes my first winner Ms. Jen!!

True Random Number Generator
28 which is laterg8r!!

My two blog winners are Ms. Jen and  laterg8r!  I will see if I can contact you guys by email for your address and full name.  If not you can email me at
Don't be disappointed if you did not win.  I will be doing another blog give-away sometime in the future.  I really really really need to clean out my scraproom, and I have tons of stuff that I don't use!

Ok, now on with part two of today's post.  I was doing a little crusing, and came across these cute little cards.  I really don't know how some people have the patience to do something like this.  I have never once finished even the smallest cross-stitch pattern, lol.  These cards are amazing and not to mention they are as adorable as can be.   If you like this, you can find more of her cute work at her Esty site Little Pink House.

Here are a couple art pieces that are in the Little Pink House Esty store.

Want To Win Some Goodies? Like Graphic 45, Pebbles, Inc. or Momenta?

I would have gladly taken a photo for you, but to be honest I'm just too lazy to do that right now!  LOL  However, if you follow me, you will know that I was on the design team for Graphic 45 since their beginning.  I did not go for it this past call.  Upon my leaving because I was the dt coordinator and blog hostess, G45 graced me with lots of yummy G45 paper.  It is not the current release, but still wonderful!  I also have some great stuff from Momenta and Pebbles, Inc.

All I ask is that you "follow me", and leave a little comment about how much you want to win my give-away.  If you already follow me, that is great!  Still leave a comment for your chance to win! I'll pick a random winner this coming up Wednesday the 27th.

Whew What A Weekend!!

I know most of you follow me to see my latest scrapping goodies, but I thought I'd share a little of my life as well!  As you know we have a puppy who I and my son fondly call "the wild beast".  This is partly because she is just plain and simply wild due to the fact that she's HUGE and almost five months old!  I have no idea how she got so big so quickly!  Anywho, we went to Louisiana for Brett's mom's 75th birthday party.  Jolie, the puppy, stayed at the Cypress Fall Pet Resort and Spa, bwhahaa!!  That cracks me up.  So far I have received no phone calls about any damage that she may have caused.  I am keeping my fingers crossed when I go pick her up!  (I mean I am keeping my fingers crossed for "no damage").

Well, it is a five hour drive to Cajun land down there.  We drove down Saturday night - had the party yesterday at the park - drove back last night - WHEW!   We had a crazy awesome time.  Brett's family is big - five of them kids with the spouses, their children, their children's children and some of them so on....  Let it be said right now - yes, I did great in English!  I can write properly, but I prefer to write like I talk or think.  Get used to it from me. :)   I thought I would share some photos of the crazy party we had.  It was so fun!!

The character that looks like the "Jack in the Box" ball below is my goofy hubby Brett.

Sack races Cajun style - in "crawfish sacks" of course!  Karson, our nephew and God child would not step foot in a crawfish sack until he was sure there were no crawfish in them!

There is my goofy husband again!!  Ya think that sack is a little small for him?

You feeling sorry for me yet?  Yep, this is what I have to live with!!

Mama Rena pinning the nose on Elmo.  Oh, and I must share a mother's proud moment. "My son" Hayden was the only one to get it the nose right where it belonged.  His achievements in life make me so proud.

Poor Leenie.  She just wasn't getting it.  We kept saying left.  We finally had to break down and tell her "her (other) left".

Mama Rena swing at air.  It didn't help that every time she swung Uncle Todd would pull the lady bug pinata up in the air.  He's such a meanie.

Ah Yah!!  Who knew one little lady bug would be so hard to kill?!?  We finally had to resort to  pulling her strings to get her open.  She (or he - they say lady bugs are male, right??) was one tough little lady!

Our newest addition, Gavin was just pooped out over all the excitement!  After this we had a little trip to the water, where the kids decided it was best to get all wet and muddy because we were getting ready to go home.  I would have pictures, but my camera battery also decided it was time to poop out.

All in all, a good trip and a good time....except for that 5 hour drive back to Houston and the kid in the back seat asking "are we almost there" every 15 minutes.  :)  All in all, a good weekend.

Come Join Us In A Mini Challenge Over At Color Combos Galore!

Our fearless leader over at Color Combos Galore, as been with her mom lately.  She had surgery and isn't doing very well.  The site and been put on hold.  Us girls are trying to keep it up the best we can, but we need her back!  Anyway, we are doing a Mini Challenge.

Scraplift any layout (or card) by any Design Team Member, from Challenge #145 through to Challenge #161. Now, here's the catch - use the following colour combination - brown, aqua, pink and white. Don't forget to let us know who's layout you have scraplifted, and the title of their layout, plus which Challenge # it is from... so who's game? Any takers?  Be sure to label your layout "mini challenge" as well.  Here is the LINK.

I decide to scraplift Jules from CCG #149.  Here is my layout and her's is below mine.  I know, her's in much better!  I shouldn't have lifted such a pretty layout to begin with - my bad.

Here is Jule's layout that I lifted from Color Combo 149.

Sharing a "My Litte Shoebox" Card

Ok, let it be known that I am NOT a stamper.  How I envy all you girls out there that produce these cute little cards... done with stamps.  However, I did do a little card using some adorable My Little Shoebox "Sunday Market" pattern papers and stamps.  Go easy on me.  As I said, stamping in not my thing!

Spooky Little Card using Nikki Sivils and Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Ahhh....there's a crispness in the air that says Fall is upon us, and what happens in Fall?  It is one of my favorite holidays.  As a kid I loved dressing up and heading out to "trick or treat".  When I became a teenager, I just had to go to all of the haunted houses.  It was so fun getting scared by some crazy person chasing after me with a chainsaw, lol.  Now, I get to relive those memories with my little boy.  We have already purchased his costume, and he continually wants to wear it around the house.  Yep, I really like this holiday.

Today I haved done a post over at Really Reasonable Ribbon using this little Halloween card that I made.  I used tons of ribbons from the store and several are from the Halloween section over there.  The cute little ghosts are cut-ups from Nikki Sivils' Halloween collection "Boo-tiful".  This was easy to make.  I tied little strips of ribbons around a chipboard form.  I just used a star shape, but it really doesn't matter because once you tie your ribbons to it and pull the ghosts up through the middle you can't really tell the shape of the chipboard anymore.

Really Reasonable Ribbon is giving away some really awesome blog candy.  If you would like the chance to win, be sure to click on the link above and leave a comment on their blog.
